To everyone who took the time to send in a contribution for post #400, thank you so much. Our judge Michael Kline had a hard time selecting plate #400 and this is what he had to say:
"There were quite a number of pots for me to browse for the well appointed #400 spot!
I really like the pots of Richard Nickel, whom I haven't seen before. The imagery is cartoonish and implied broad themes in black and white within frames of gold lustre. Thanks to Heather for nominating Richard's work.
Other honorable mentions goes to Brian Jones, Kristen Kieffer, Mudstuffing, and Brenda Quinn.
But the plate I picked for #400 is one made by Varda Sharon Kramer. Varda was nominated by Linda Starr! I found the complexity of the pattern, the use of the positive and negative space very exciting to explore! Varda lives near Haifa, in Israel, and works in the village of Usfie.
Thanks Sharon, thanks Linda, and thanks to everyone who contributed to this contest!"
Thank you Varda, for the lovely plate on post #400!
